About

Rebecca Fielding (b. 1997) is a printmaker based in Glasgow. She studied Art History, Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of East Anglia, before moving to Scotland in 2019. Having completed a course in etching at Glasgow Print Studio, she has developed an artistic practice which focuses on printmaking.

Fielding seeks inspiration in the rich history of making that traces back through human history. She creates visual responses to images she observes in her everyday life, including dreams, combining this with references to art history. These images often take on a surreal quality, referring to the disquieting strangeness of much of the human experience.
